On the eve of the start of the AFL Finals series this weekend, MBA Partner Mitchell Clark met with Malcolm Blight, Guest Speaker at a Business Breakfast.

Malcolm is a multi-award winning Aussie Rules football player and coach. He is the Director of Coaching for the Gold Coast Suns. As part of a warm and humorous speech, Malcolm shared his view that the key to success is based on people.

That’s to say, that people (whether they be staff or students or players in a team) who are motivated and passionate will achieve success.

RaknapaMarch 2015

As a firm we have been given the opportunity to sponsor a little girl from Myanmar named Raknapa who has lost both her mother and father and now lives in Northern Thailand at the Rescue Mission for Children, a not-for-profit organisation run by a group of dedicated Australian volunteers with the support of local men and women on the ground in Chiang Rai, Thailand.

We are privileged to be able to give her the same opportunities as most Australian children have to an education, a safe home and adequate nutrition. Most significantly for Raknapa our sponsorship has ensured that unlike many girls from Raknapa’s home village in Myanmar, she will not be the victim of sex-trafficking which robs so       many young girls of their innocence and dignity. We are very excited to receive updates about Raknapa’s progress in her general development, education and social life and we are very proud of all our staff who have taken up the call to help this very worthwhile cause.
