Sanath’s legal experience spans over 27 years in three different jurisdictions – Australia, Sri Lanka and Fiji. Sanath was admitted as a Solicitor of The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 1992 where he practiced litigation.
In 2000 Sanath completed his Master of Laws Degree from The University of Queensland and was admitted as a Barrister of The Supreme Court of Queensland and The High Court of Australia, subsequently as a Solicitor of The Supreme Court of Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory as well as The High Court of Australia.
Sanath practiced actively and exclusively in Plaintiff Personal Injury litigation from 2000 to 2013 in numerous injury claims involving work place injuries, motor vehicle accidents, public liability and medical negligence. In 2013/2014 Sanath served as a High Court Judge of Fiji Islands and in 2017 he was appointed The Public Trustee of Sri Lanka. The President of Sri Lanka conferred Silk on Sanath appointing him a President’s Counsel in April 2019.
With his undying passion representing injured parties against insurance companies achieving rewarding outcomes for his clients, Sanath has joined MBA Personal Injuries Department.
