The Fair Work Commission has today announced that the national minimum wage will increase by 2.5%. Effective 1 July 2021, the national minimum wage will be $772.60 per week, or $20.33 per hour. This is an increase of $18.80 per week or 49 cents per hours (calculated as 38 hours per week).

Also, the majority of Moderns Awards wages will be increased by 2.5% effective 1 July 2021. Some industries will have the increase apply later in the year:

  • Marine Tourism and Charter Vessels Award 2020
