Melinda knows what makes a good story and how to turn that into thumb-stopping content. She has exemplary skills in strategic content marketing, project management, crisis communications, public relations and copywriting.
During her career Melinda has worked as an award-winning journalist, a trusted media advisor for a government department, and managed a digital communications team and strategy for one of Australia’s leading universities. She was also the co-founder of communications and media company Very Media and the founder of a business training workshop Content that Counts, which she recently presented at international conference All Day All Night and Bond University.
Melinda has been a consultant for the Queensland Writers Centre and she also teaches public relations and communications strategies at Griffith University and Bond University as an adjunct academic.
Her ability to implement and execute successful communication strategies for businesses was recognised when she was named a finalist in the Gold Coast Young Entrepreneur Awards 2018 & 2019. She was also named a national finalist in the 2019 AusMumpreneur of the Year Awards.
Melinda holds a Bachelor of Communications, a Diploma of Marketing and a Graduate Certificate in Education Law. She is now also studying a Bachelor of Laws.
