Keeley Press is an award-winning employment, industrial relations and work health and safety lawyer, and a Partner in the Workplace & Employment team at MBA Lawyers. She advises employers, businesses, boards, executives and HR leaders across the full spectrum of employment, industrial relations and work health and safety law, from day-to-day workforce management to complex disputes and litigation.

Acting for clients across Australia, Keeley practises predominantly within the federal workplace relations system, while also advising on the state and territory work health and safety, discrimination, long service leave and industrial obligations that frequently operate alongside it.

Keeley is regularly engaged as a genuine extension of her clients’ in-house legal and HR teams, and is often the first person they call when a workplace issue carries real legal, commercial or reputational risk. She takes the time to understand each client’s business, culture and objectives, and delivers advice that is strategic and tailored to their circumstances.

She acts for clients before various courts and tribunals, and is frequently entrusted with high-stakes disputes and sensitive executive exits where reputation and commercial interests are most exposed.

Keeley is a sought-after presenter and a regular contributor to industry panels, speaking on workplace change and the employment implications of a globalising workforce. Having practised in Melbourne earlier in her career, Keeley retains close ties to the Victorian legal community, where she formally served on the Executive Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria’s Workplace Relations Section and on the Victorian Women Lawyers Work Practices Committee. She is a mentor with Fitted for Work and a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute, reflecting her ongoing commitment to the profession, to workplace equity and to the HR and industrial relations community she serves.
