About Aleena Mills
Aleena’s thoughtful and considerate approach to family law matters ensures our clients know all their options and can choose the best solutions for their own circumstances. Having graduated in 2012 from Griffith University, Aleena then undertook and completed her postgraduate studies with Australia National University in 2014 – 2015. Aleena was admitted in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2015 and started her career in a boutique law firm in northern New South Wales.
Aleena began her career working across many areas including family law, estate litigation, estate planning, and crime and domestic violence. Her broad experience honed her holistic approach to identifying issues early for clients. Most recently, she has specialised in family law for the last 3 years in Brisbane. Her dedication to providing the big picture and practical advice means she advises, cares for and guides people for any family law matter they experience.
With vast experience dealing with financial settlements, Aleena regularly assists people where there are intricate corporate structures, tax issues, self-managed super funds, and international assets involved. She has a particular interest in property matters for high and moderate net worth clients with complex property pools. Aleena also specialises in advising on parenting issues, including complex cases where there are significant risk issues, including experience in Magellen matters.
Aleena is a member of the Queensland Law Society, the Family Law Practitioner’s Association, and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
Balancing life and work, when Aleena is not assisting clients, you’ll find her mountain trail walking, swimming or baking, but not all at the same time.
