About Sherrie Smith

Sherrie commenced employment in an Ipswich law firm as an Office Junior at the age of 16, and was promoted to Legal Secretary by the age of 18. At that stage specialty firms were non-existent, because of this Sherrie gained experience in all areas of law.  After making the transition to the Gold Coast at the age of 24 Sherrie started working in Personal Injuries Law.

Upon the return to work after maternity leave, Sherrie worked for a prominent family law firm in Southport. This was the beginning of a 20 year career in various positions gaining extensive knowledge in all aspects of family law.  During that time she had the pleasure of working alongside Joelene Seaton. In June 2021 Sherrie joined the team at MBA Lawyers as Senior Paralegal to Joelene Seaton and Aleena Mills in the Family Law Department, also assisting them with Wills, Estate Planning, Probate and Estate Administration.

Sherrie is very family orientated and in her spare time she is also a passionate advocate for childhood cancer awareness, in particular brain cancer awareness.
